NTU CF FOC / My 1st FOC.
12:26 AM
My first ever FOC - NTU CF FOC :-)
I'm really glad that I chose to take part in this camp for my first. Unlike the other FOCs, this is super chill and just so suitable for a lazy person like me. ~_~

Day 1.
We met at JP Macs early in the morning and had an small introduction among ourselves. Had to draw our faces with camo cream lol. Was in the black OG that's why we're all decked in black! That's us doing our OG introduction - "We are the 黑眼圈" with that hand gesture hahaha #embarrassingourselvesfromd1
Headed off to school to meet the rest of the OGs, and had a round of introduction and played Virus which drained all our energy lol. Had station games around the school after that too, then off we went to the actual camp venue!
Chapel of the Resurrection. My first time here and it's a really beautiful and huge church!
Had introduction by the committee and headed off for our respective workshops!

We were given 5 options and I was allocated to the 'Vices' workshop for day 1. Wasn't in my choices but it turned out to be a super insightful lesson!! I didn't actually know much about Vices and the workshop really taught me a lot. Had our briefing for Angel and Mortal after and got to know who our mortal was by name! I had no idea who the person was but I realized that the person actually attended the same workshop as me! Couldn't remember the face of the person but my OG mate did so she identified him for me since day 1 hahaha.
Day 2.
Started really early for amazing race! It was stretched across like 3 mrt stations & we weren't allowed to take public transport at all. Had go complete all the tasks by foot. But it was really fun to be able to go around like Doras with TBEC haha. The guys were so good with the directions so the girls just followed. I really can't read maps so don't even ask me for directions using a hardcopy map. Google maps is the way to go lolol. But I still get lost at times with Google maps. *facepalm* Ok before I digress even further, let me move on lol.

Just had station games and stopped over for lunch at this famous Teochew Porridge shop near NEX! A really unique experience eating tze char style with friends you just met hahaha. Had different tastes in food options but thankfully it all matched and we finished all the food. Continued with the amazing race and we were the first OG to complete it!
Headed back to the camp venue for the first Theme Talk! It was about how we as Christians should be full of Christ and how we should always place God as the center of our lives no matter how busy university life may get. It was a really timely talk for us. Love this quote shared by the pastor - " The great use of life is to spend it on what outlasts it." A very apt quote to remind us to put our eyes on what is truly important in our lives!
There was another workshop for the second night! Got into the 'Denominations' workshop this time. It was my first choice because I really wanted to know in-depth about the different denominations in our religion. The speaker couldn't speak in detail due to time constraint but I've got a brief idea now! I really think the workshops I got assigned to are part of God's plans. Really helped to increase my knowledge in my own religion hahaha. Had devotions later at night with TBEC which was a really good way of ending the day!! :-)
Started Day 3 with devotions over breakfast with the OG again!
Followed by a phototaking session with the everyone and our own OGs. :-)
Had mass worship together after and it was such a good worship session together! Theme talk by the invited pastor again, and this time was about how we should behave as His disciples in campus!
OG time after and we played a few card games (Smash Up and Hobbit) together! I've never seen such card games before and it was pretty hard to understand initially but it's actually quite fun!! The guys were feeling so exasperated while explaining how to go about playing the games to the girls because we couldn't really get it for the first few rounds. We finally got it after a few rounds and did pretty well for beginners (I think... hahaha). But it was just a good time of bonding with the fellow OG mates through the games!
Was kinda dreading what's to come after that because it was time for the Angel & Mortal revelation! Been writing to my angel and mortal for the past few days but I was rather afraid that it'd be awkward meeting in real life lol. They've been really nice though, writing and replying to me! After revealing the identities, we had to complete this mission. It was like this photo mission with the angel and just a crossword puzzle with the mortal. Thankfully the two of them are so nice which made things less awkward! :-)
Prize presentation after and (not) surprisingly, we won the award for being the best OG! Before that, our OGLs were like prepping us to do this cheer "in case" we win lol. So it was pretty expected hahaha.
After which, we had OG time again! Played some random games & since it was the last night, all of us tried to stay up and we did so till about 3am-ish? We were also having our nth round of Smash Up/Hobbit hahaha. It's pretty addictive once you get it! Played till our heads weren't really functioning so we decided to head to bed after.
Started Day 4 with mass worship again! Had debrief and they showed a camp video, then it was time to break camp!
Took some pictures before we left!
Had lunch together after at this Japanese restaurant in NEX and it was pretty good and affordable?! Feeling hungry just by looking at this picture lolol.
Thankful to the two OGLs who took care of us throughout the 4D3N!! I really had a good time at the CF FOC! Learnt so much from the speakers and the people in the camp! Especially glad to have met TBEC to go through this camp and I really hope that we'll still see one another in school! Last but not least (& most importantly), thank God for this opportunity!!! :-)
